Ultimate Elvis 2012
Appearing on the Centrepointe stage April the 6th, 2013 was Elvis Tribute Artist Ben Portsmouth. Crowned the Ultimate Elvis Winner in 2012 it was his first appearance in Ottawa with the legendary "Sweet Inspirations", the original back-up singers for Elvis. Portsmouth who is from the U.K is starting a World-Wide Tour with the Sweet Inspirations. Portsmouth will also be performing in Las Vegas in the same hotel where Elvis appeared.

Elvis did two shows in Ottawa on April 3, 1957 at the old hockey Auditorium. Check out KEY RECORDS interview with Radio Pioneer Gord Atkinson who snagged a interview with the KING. Elvis at the time was considered X-rated by some and one school even banned their students from attending Presley's concert.
